I&#8217;ll find out if they&#8217;re going to do the Chicago thing or not.</p> <p>If they aren&#8217;t, I can always talk to Derek&#8217;s mother-in-law, who would more than gladly let me stay with her.</p> <p>Mother even has the sense that I could up and go. She mentioned that the money I have saved for a car could also go towards Chicago. She even asked if I&#8217;d need a car in Chicago. Yes and no&#8230; depends on where you live, mom.</p> <p>My boss offered me the assistant manager position if I wanted it. I don&#8217;t think I do anymore&#8230; I&#8217;m starting to remember there&#8217;s a Jason outside of work. The Jason who works is damn good at his job, and he receives lots of praise from his boss, coworkers, and customers. But he isn&#8217;t the only Jason there is. </p> <p>It&#8217;s like&#8230; everything over the past five months has slowly been falling into place. Some of it I knew was happening, or would happen. Some of it I didn&#8217;t notice until afterwards.</p> <p>I&#8217;ll know more after the next few days. If my friends are not only seriously still thinking about moving to Chicago but actually making concrete steps in that direction, I&#8217;ll join them. If not, I think I&#8217;ll reach out to Derek and see what I can do.</p> <p>I made a promise at the start of this year that I&#8217;d be in Chicago by the end of it.
